Getting-olderThey say wine and cheese gets better with age. Here ‘s a great verse to help those of us who are maturing!  “But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God.  Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.  They will declare, “The Lord is just! He is my rock…” Psalm 92:12-15 NLT

I want to grow old gracefully like my Uncle Don Luster who we buried this past Monday. He was like a second father to me and was such an incredible kind and gracious man.  To grow old gracefully here are some thoughts:
  • Have to keep a sense of humor.
  • Have to realize physically I do have more limitations now.
  • Have to keep my mind alert.
  • Have to stay socially active.
  • Have to stay physically active. Starting a new weekly routine in September! Help me Jesus!
  • Have to stay spiritually active.
  • Have to embrace change.
  • Have to surround myself with those who are young. Embrace reverse mentoring.
  • Have to depend on God’s grace for this stage of my life.
  • Have to believe my best days are yet ahead!
In His Grip,
Papa G
